"Rise and shine sleeping beauty."
Jacques felt the cool, fresh air hit his face and a bright light shien straight through the darkness. He squinted to look. It was one of the fucking staff members. Had it really already been 24 hours? There had been no way for him to measure time in there since there were no windows, doors, or light or sound at all for that matter.
Jack looked up in silence. "Let's go." The staff member said again. Jack sat there silently as he watched the staff member. "Did you hear me?" Suddenly people were reaching in and yanking him out into the light. Into the world once again. He didn't like being touched without his permission. Maybe it had been better in the isolation room after all.
"Easy now." The staff member cautioned as Jacques tried to struggle a bit. "Man, they're right about this one. Doesn't talk. Fucking retarded or something."
Jacques let them hold him by the arms, though he hated every minute of it. They were going to bring him back into his room, try and medicate him with sedatives-though he would make sure that he didn't actually take the drugs like he always did-and then go on their merry way to neglect him again. That was just fine with him. All he had to do was just get to the room and he would be left alone. He walked with them to his room, where they threw him to the doorway, and that was when they just walked away. So much for keeping and eye on him.
He sighed silently and turned away from the room. And caught eyes staring at him. It was a girl. He stared back to scare her off, but she didn't seem to be leaving. Guess people here were crazy after all to stick around him. They were alone in the hallway together. He just looked back at her silently. |
