Sure, they say you can't love someone after only knowing them an hour or so...but she knew herself well enough to know that the strange sensation she felt wasn't just lust. The feel of his lips lingered on her's long into the work day, she'd left his room early this morning to finish unpacking and dress herself. The memory of last night caused her to shiver, her cheeks turning a soft rosy color.
Her small hands tucked and folded things until finally, her room looked some-what home like. She smiled meekly into the mirror, seeing a look that had very rarely passed her face. Genuine happiness. She'd always been an adult, nursing and caring for her family. Maybe thats why she'd always been so utterly compassionate and caring. But nevertheless, juliet looked truly happy as she stared at the unfamiliar reflection. For the first time in her life, Juliet felt beautiful.
She tugged her uniform on and pulled her soft blond hair up into a tight bun. She couldn't help but smile at the lush pink color in her cheeks. She put her hand on the door and headed out towards Miss Lynn's office.
She'd been close to the Lynn family her entire life. She knew if she asked for Matt she'd be given the position, but she'd just let things play out. Her blue eyes met Alayna's mothers and grinned. The conversation carried on as normal, and when she heard her teacher she giggled.
Juliet arrived at the familiar dorm room almost immediately after. She knew it would be more...appropriate to visit his "office" but this just felt...better. She pushed the door open, it was hardly early enough for anyone else to be awake, and made her way back to his bed. She plopped down beside him, glad she'd changed into her nurses uniform. "Wake up, Doctor" she mumbled, kissing his cheek very gently. "Guess who your newest intern is?" she asked innocently, batting her dark lashes.

Matt dreamt for the first time in a long time, but it made sense to him this time. When he dreamt it was often the strange, he didn't understand them to a point, but this one was simply reliving the night before. No complaint. He stirred slowly, feeling a warmth beside him, something he could swear he'd fallen asleep with, and hearing a musical voice above. His hazel eyes fluttered open, he started a little and sat halfway up before he realized it was Juliet. Fully dressed. He smiled a little before her words sunk in, just as he fell back against the bed and placed his hands behind his head. Tough question. "Hmm... I hope it's a girl. Someone sweet. She'd have to be pretty. Blond, blue eyes. Short." He smiled a little and turned his eyes to her.
She wouldn't be so excited if it was someone else, he must be who she was shadowing. He wasn't the type who'd use their relationship in work, but he hoped it caused no problems. He slid an arm around her waist and pulled her closer, his free hand slipping into her hair to hold her head as he pulled her down for a soft kiss. "Did you have to ask for it?" He wondered aloud, kissing her softly again before letting go and sitting up properly. It didn't occur to him until he was up that he'd slept naked. Granted she'd been curled against him in the nude as well, but still.

"Of ll adjectives, short?" she couldn't help the slight smile that tugged at her lips as she ran her tiny little fingers along his chest. The kiss was gentle, so she smiled against his lips and nipped gently. She wasn't trying to be seductive or even tease him, just being playful.
She shook her head at the second question. "Nope. She just sort of gave me the name and I smiled." she kissed him back the second time, nuzzling into him when he sat up. She really didn't want to work, but at least it was with him. She wondered silently if his lips would be distracting, she couldn't seem to keep her eyes off them so maybe a bit. She leaned her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes. Nawe, she'd be fine. They could differentiate between work and relationship, right?
She hoped. She kissed his shoulder innocently and adjusted her skirt. "So...not to sound stereotypical or anything...but where does last night leave us?" she realized after thinking the word that he might not see them the same way as she did. She bit her lip lightly and looked up at him with big blue eyes.

Matt smiled as Jules mocked him. She was short. It was cute, and he didn't want her any different. "Yep, SHORT. Like bite sized." He reached up one handed and brushed a hand over her perfectly placed hair, playfully snapping his teeth at her. She looked like nurse barbie. Not that that was a bad thing. He savored her kisses before getting up from the bed. He wasn't a shy person, and he already knew she'd seen him naked. So what was the harm in being nude in front of her? He paused just as he picked up his pants, pondering her question. Where did last night leave them? He didn't plan on keeping her a one night stand, she was better than that.
But after losing his fiance so recently he honestly wasn't sure if his heart was ready for another relationship. He bit his lip gently and slowly pulled his pants on, looking at her as he buttoned them. He wished he was a better liar. "I'm not sure Juliet. I like you. Obviously." He smiled a little with humility and picked a button up from a hanger in the open closet. He sucked at lying, he simply stuck to the truth instead. Zack was the convincing liar in the party. "I was engaged until recently, and I really loved her." His voice trailed a little as did his eyes. "I got drunk and insisted on driving, because she was about two months pregnant, and I didn't want her to stress. But I didn't think to tell her I'd been drinking, because I thought I was fine. I went through an intersection and we got hit by a truck, passenger side." He paused and sat beside her on the bed, taking a deep breath to try to calm his rapid heart. "If I'd been sober I would have stopped. They said it was the other car's fault, but... I know better. Both she and the baby didn't make it. I took the job here pretty soon after, and I've been here just over a month, and I really do like you, but I'm not... I don't quite know if I'm ready for a relationship yet. But I do want more than a one night thing, I'm not an asshole."
