PERSONALITY:
Genevieve back in high school was the normal school girl. She sat in the back of the classroom and just kept to herself. She wasn't anit-social it was just she gave off this vibe that said stand back. It isn't like she is a violent person, people just don't like her because she seems a bit off. And most people don't like people who don't fit in. So Gen would stay in the back of the class, reading, counting to herself quietly or getting every little thing of lint off her clothing. There is something wrong with her people just didn't know what to call it.
If someone actually got to know Gen they would see she is very intellectual and very strong. Since she reads constantly she can talk about almost any subject and knows enough about it to write her own book. Also people mistake her for some little girl who doesn't have a back bone. Genevieve knows how to stand up for herself and could even fight some people if given the chance. She just knows enough by now to not even bother fighting.
APPEARANCE:
Viv's appearance always has to be flawless. It just has something to do with her disorder. She sends hours on her hair, make up and just her overall appearance. With her blonde hair, which is all natural, she for the most part always keeps it straightened. Genevieve used to curl it but soon realized that when she curled it each curl had to be perfect and all that time curling just didn't fit into her schedule. Straightening it just seemed like the most rational option to her.
Make up with her is very simple. She uses a lot of cover up but doesn't really need it. And when she gets that occasional pimple she won't venture out of her room. For her eyes she uses black eyeliner and mascara. Everything is simple when it comes to her eyes and she rarely ever uses eyeshadow. Then for her lips usually a bright red shade of lipstick. And sometimes just lip gloss when she is sick or ran out of time (which really never happens).
Clothing for Gen is really the only normal thing about her. She dresses like any seventeen year old would. She wears clothes that show off her body, like her stomach and breasts. She doesn't mind people looking at her as long as they don't think they can touch. Her skin is pale in winter and tan in the summer months. In the summer she uses sun lotion almost constantly and in winter she constantly uses lotion so her skin doesn't dry out.
HISTORY:
Genevieve Clarisse Sommer was born on July 14th to a mother who she never got to meet. Apparently as far as Gen knows her mother had her when she was only sixteen, so she was immediatley put up for adoption. She hated thinking about her parents when she was young and used to cry when she was still in the orphanage. Of course she wasn't the only one crying in there so no one really cared. With her first adoptive family they didn't explain anything to her. Just took her in, with the other three adoptive children they had. All were girls.
Two girls were younger than Gen in the household and only one was older. Both parents were nice enough and kept Gen in school and made sure she ate. At the time she was only around seven years old. Genevieve still won't say her name now but the older girl, who was suppose to act like an older sister, began making Gen touch her. Gen was forced to touch her and no one took any notice. The older girl was fourteen at the time. Old enough to know this wasn't right and old enough to make threats to scare poor Genevieve.
After those incidents Gen would take very long baths. She stayed in the bath until the water went cold and her fingers looked like prunes. After two years of going through this, each time getting worse and worse did her 'parents' see a difference. A nine year old who washed her hands about twenty times a day. Or kept her room neat and wait, were those books organized alphabetically? She was sent to a doctors and at first they just said it was phase. But then Gen started to count things. Only would eat foods that had an even number. That was when they knew something was mentally wrong with this child.
At first it was just a few pills a day to hopefully keep the OCD down, obsessive complusive disorder. And that was fine but the abuse didn't stop until the older girl left once she turned eighteen. Genevieve went through four years of abuse and never told a soul. It affected how she acted around kids in school and how she handled relationships. She did have a boyfriend once. But as soon as he kissed her, she had to go straight home and scrub her face and lips until they almost were raw. That was when her 'parents' decided that pills weren't enough.
When asked if you would like to go to a completely different school for a year with most of your classmates, interact with other students and get a new learning perspective, most students wouldn’t be that excited. Sure it might be a good time but what if you didn’t get along with any of the people there? It was a new school and there might be a bit of a language barrier. Students might just go if they were younger. But how about if you already spent most of your schooling in one school? And you were about to graduate? Graduating with a different class surely didn’t sound like that great of a time. However Genevieve saw it as a way to get away. She was probably one of the first students to sign up for the program without any thoughts. This was the perfect situation for her. She could meet all these students and hopefully make friends all over the world. Gen loves languages and would love to learn a few more while completing her last year of schooling. Her father thought this was an excellent idea and her mother couldn’t help but go along with it. So off went Genevieve went to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardary. A school so much different than her schooling back at Beauxbatons.
After a few days of settling in Genevieve was used to the castle. It was much different than the palace back at Beauxbatons but worked out rather nicely. Something that she couldn’t get over, which most of the girls at her school were already used to, were the stares she got when she walked any place. She was used to the stares she got when she walked out in public or even in school but here it seemed like none of the male students have ever met or even walked by a pure veela. Some of the boys were weak minded because she was pretty sure she heard a proposal a few times already. She didn’t turn in time to see the house or school since it seemed like his friends were also embarrassed and was pushing the young fellow away. True, Gen did love the attention and all but every once in a while she got these migraine headaches and she couldn’t help but wonder if they were from all the stares she got and everything she had to go through. Believe her it was hard day when you couldn’t even walk two steps without some guy trying to impress you.
Since it was such a gorgeous day out today she had decided it would be the day she wrote home to her father and mother saying she did arrive safely and she was comfortable at this new school. She had most of the levels of the school remembered since it wasn’t very hard in the first place. Beauxbatons seemed twice the size of this school. The places she really needed to know were the Great Hall, her common room, her main classes and the library. Everything else she would figure out eventually or get some guy to show her the way. And after gathering her letter she left her common room to go off and find the Owlery.
It wasn’t a hard place to find if you had a bit of common sense. It would most likely be a tower since that was what owls liked and after checking a few she finally managed to find it. Genevieve didn’t like it all too much that the staircase was outside and that was the only way to get there. But it was the only way she could get to her owl. Juno was her owl’s name and she was a lovely barn owl. The owl thought highly of its self and acted like a member of the family. Gen has had her for as long as she could remember and was a good friend to have. Making her way up the stairs, not the best day to be wearing heels, she turned her head when she thought she heard a noise behind her. Seeing nothing and no one she went back to ascending the stairs. Or wait, did the noise come from in front of her? Was hard to tell with the echoes bouncing off the walls of the castle. .
