Juliet loves a beat and the lust it commands Drop the dagger and lather the blood on your hands Romeo Snap.Click.Snap.Click. Roxy sighed,as she adjusted her camera's lens to get a better shot of the lake,as the sun started setting behind it.The sky was amazingly pretty, the pink and the orange mixed perfectly.Since she thought she was going to pull an all night shift, that she should kill sometime. It so happens, that photography was one of the things she enjoyed very much. She liked when she could look at a picture and people can just see the happiness or the sadness in it.Even a picture can totally change the mood that anyone is in,it was rather interesting. Her blue eyes scanned the lake and the grounds around it.A few of the young teenagers scattered around the grounds, but they were easily watched and most of the ones that were out were ones who wouldn't cause that much damage to anyone else. But through the peaceful moment, she heard a high pitch scream and she fumbled as her camera fell to the ground. Her attention went to a girl who was sitting on the ground a hundred feet away from her,her black hair covered her face as it looked like a wild mess as she shook her head back and forth as the tears that fell from the girls eye.Roxy took a few steps towards the girl but she then the girl's scream was heard again as two staff members started pulling the girl away, each grabbing one of her arms. Roxy watched as the girl cried out again, and dragged her feet along the ground but the staff members already taken her away and the girls soft crys were no longer heard.Roxy shook her head, and blinked. Is that honestly the way people handle teenagers? They can't even bother to ask whats wrong they just assume they are going through a mental break down and drag them a way? She took a few steps back to where her camera has fallen and picked it back as she looked at it to make sure their was no cracks in it and thankfully their wasn't.She looked back over at the lake and didn't see the reflection of the sun anymore, she picked her head up and looked around again. All the kids already were starting to head in because she guessed the screaming girl scared them off. She held the camera with both hands, tightly as she sat back down on the grass and started going through the pictures that she took earlier that day. Some were patients and some were just objects around the asylum. The sadness that she saw in some eyes almost could reflect on how they looked in her eyes. But her head shot up as she heard soft thuds ontop of the grass. "Who's there?" She called out,and heard the soft thuds again. She stood up and with the camera in her hands,as her eyes focused on the footsteps yet again. I don't care what people say,The rush is worth the price I pay.
Damon flicked the burned up end of his cigarette away and waited a few seconds before blowing the smoke upward. He didn't smoke often, only when he was in a particularly bad mood. He glanced up curiously from his secluded little bench on the grounds when he heard a girls' scream. Younger, definitely. He recognized it, vaguely. He stood from his hiding place, his own little hideaway that for some reason helped his sanity. Living in this place, he needed all the help with that he could get. He adjusted his cross beneath his shirt and headed back for the asylum, spotting a pretty slim blond on his way. He wouldn't have stopped, but he seemed to have startled her.
He looked at her as she jumped, and looked toward him. He gave up a little smile and walked toward her instead, offering a hand down to help her up. He was sure to brush a hand over his nose, assuring there wouldn't be any white residue visible even from her angle. He was so used to covering it, not even the other doctors knew he was a drug addict. The only person who knew was his supplier in town. And she wasn't really the tattle tale type, she was too pleased with his business to give it up. That and he nailed her fairly regularly. Maybe that was it, she was just as addicted to that as he was to the drugs he bought off her.
"Hey, didn't mean to scare you." He apologized fakely, a rather convincing smile in place as he glanced at the camera in her hands. Photographer? No. They never had photographer's come here, it wasn't exactly picture perfect. He was sure the boss wouldn't risk anyone finding it... Well, he was sure the boss wouldn't risk anyone finding out what really went on here. "Amateur photography?" He risked softly, noting a couple of them were actually fairly good. "It's not bad. New here?"

Juliet loves a beat and the lust it commands Drop the dagger and lather the blood on your hands Romeo Roxy's heartbeat returned to normal as her eyes took in the figure before her.But she still couldn't manage to stand up from the fact of the fast adrenaline rush and of her not knowing who it was.She adjusted her eyes to the darkness and saw that the figure was a man,she bit her lip as he came closer and through the darkness, she could easily see a small white smile on his lips. She held the camera in one hand,as he simply offered his hand without saying a word. She gently let her fingers wrap around his as she pulled herself up but let her hand let go of his quickly. She cleared her throat, and moved a piece of hair away from her face as she was lost for words. It wouldn't be the first that she lost words in front of a guy, especially good looking ones, like the one standing in front of her.Her eyes glanced at him for a moment to take in his appearance. He had short dark hair, and through the dark she could see his bright blue eyes almost glowing. Her eyes fell to his lips as he spoke to her. "It's fine.I get scared pretty easily." She admitted with a shy smile. Her cheeks heated up as he asked if she was doing amateur photography. She guessed those were the words to sum of her hobby. She wasn't an expert at it but she loved doing it.Roxy laughed, softly and looked at her camera that she held in her hands. "Yeah,I guess you can call it that.More like a guilty pleasure." She said, quietly as she let out another embarrassed laugh.Maybe it wasn't exactly a guilty pleasure because she has been doing photography for years now but she never really got the chance to show experts her work. She would love to show some people the photo's in her dorm. The pictures of an abused girl, who took pictures of herself everyday to show her family what her father has done to her.Which in fact was Roxy. She looked at him again but didn't let her eyes locked with his.She always thought eye contact was very intimidating.Roxy guessed it was because her dad made her look at her straight in the eyes everytime he hit her.She always wondered if that was because he wanted to feel power or just want to see the pain in her eyes. "I actually just came here a few days ago.I just got hired as a nurse here." She said, with a smile. She didn't realize that she could be talking to a patient but he seemed rather sane and also he looked older,so maybe he couldn't possiably be one. "I'm Roxy by the way."

Damon smiled a little as the young woman stood and shook off her original discomfort. She probably thought he was a serial killer. Not hard to find here, but he didn't think he'd ever killed anyone on purpose. Or directly. He let her pull her hand back and smiled at her confession. Getting scared here easily could be a bad thing, a very bad thing. Well, depending on who she was around. "That's a habit you'll want to break. They find out about it," His eyes flicked toward the main doors where the the stragglers of the patients were being herded inside. "And you'll never sleep again." His eyes returned to her easily, having absolutely no problem taking in the honey blond hair framing her soft features. She was very pretty, obviously not a patient.
Guilty pleasures. Just the term implied something wrong with it, or some form of escape. He blinked and glanced down at the camera, his vision only slightly affected by the drugs he'd recently put in his system. In a place like this, who didn't have something wrong with them? Even the best doctors here had something to hide. It wasn't like he was the only one with 'bad habits'. Most people might consider a drug addiction more than a 'bad habit' but in the case of himself, he didn't. Granted that made him a hypocrite, because he often referred his own patients to detox. "We all have those." He admitted with a smile.
He noticed vaguely that she wouldn't meet his eyes, usually a sign of fear or a discomfort with dominance. He wasn't here to judge her though, she was not a patient. They would judge her. He actually got along quite well with the majority of the patients he saw. Granted, there were exceptions. "A nurse huh? I would have thought intern. You almost don't look old enough." He shrugged a little, smiling as she offered a name to him. Roxy. Pretty. "Damon, I'm one of the psychiatrists." Still technically a doctor, he did go to med school. Granted he preferred not to stab psychos with needles, knowing how much they hated it and fought back.

Juliet loves a beat and the lust it commands Drop the dagger and lather the blood on your hands Romeo Fear was something that always would stick around Roxy.Usually girls who had an abusive past came out as stronger girls. But she never understood that.It almost made Roxy feel a lot weaker when she was around men.She felt like they towered over her with their height. Also some of them would do the whole sweet talking and she was afraid she would fall for it and give into something that she would regret. That was the main reason she would leave guys hanging,or in other words she was a tease. But not to the extent to where she is throwing her body to a guy. She looked at him when she could almost tell the warning tone in his voice about that the patients would find out. They were just like other people, but they were just misunderstood.Weren't most people? Her eyes followed his as she looked as the bodies started pushing themselves towards the doors. Some of the expressions of the dozen of faces were expressionless, some showed fear and some looked tense. She gulped as her eyes pulled away from them.Roxy wanted to help them, maybe even all of them if she could but some of the anger and fears in their eyes gave her second thoughts. "Guess I have to put on the tough girl act." She stated, playfully with a smile.Roxy looked back down at the ground when his eyes caught hers for a moment.A lot of the nurses told her that sleep sometimes was very rare.Once when you stepped foot here, there was no going back from the noises and screams you heard. Some even recommend her taking sleeping pills for the nights that she wasn't working.A cheeky response wanted to come out of her lips about not sleeping again. But she refrained from it.The cheeky comments that she made, made her sound like she knew the whole sex thing or she had it.When all honestly it was all just curiosity to her. Roxy let a smirk play on her lips as he agreed with her that everyone had guilty pleasures. It was very much true. Some people would say that don't have one or they wouldn't admit it.She turned her eyes to the camera again, and flipped it so that the lens were facing the ground, she looked at the small black screen that was on the back. "We all have them.Just some wouldn't want to admit that they have them." She said, truthfully as her eyes actually caught his for a moment. His eyes didn't show harm but something was odd about them. His pupils were bigger then average and his eyes seemed to move a bit back and forth. She shrugged the thought off. They could be adjusting to the darkness, she thought. A blush appeared once again on her cheeks as he said that she looked almost too young to be one.She bit her lip nervously but smiled at him. "Yeah, people don't usually believe that I'm twenty-two." She said, honestly as she straighten her posture up as if to show off that she was older then he guessed. Her shirt roused a bit, showing off a bit of her hips which on the right side peaked a top of a black star.Which the stars trailed from her hip to the back of her shoulder. Roxy blinked when he introduced his name as Damon. The name sound familiar in which she remembered when the day that she first came here. One of the younger nurses showed her around and then the nurse stopped when both of them saw a guy's back facing them, and he was only a few feet away from them talking to someone. She remembered the nurse pulling Roxy to the side saying that was one of the doctors who worked here and she giggled that he was good looking. In which the nurse was correct. She shook her head,as she realized she starred off for a moment. "Then pleasure meeting you,Doctor." Roxy said, making that sound more flirty then it was intended to. " At least now I already know one sane person here." She joked. But then wished she took it back because that might be offensive but she meant to say it in a perfectly harmless way.

I don't care what people say,The rush is worth the price I pay.
Damon would be shocked how many people here were merely putting up an act, but with him being a shrink of decent experience at least he could tell some of the fakes from the real ones. Most of the ones who had a false face up were the ones who didn't want to deal with their own problems. The easiest to put up with were the ones who were open with it, the ones who'd killed and admitted it; Who wanted the help. But they were few and far between. Most of the patients here wanted out as fast as possible and would fake sanity to get there. He doubted anyone would give Roxy's act a second glance, if they even bought it. She'd better be a fabulous little actress.
"Only sometimes." He admitted as he looked up again, glancing over the water. "You'd be surprised how many will see right through it. Not all of them are bad." And that one he even knew from experience. It never really bothered him that he wasn't supposed to talk about his patients, he couldn't repeat things they said without penalties. But that was probably because he didn't have the want or need to talk to many people, he almost couldn't stand to speak to the sane. Roxy wasn't grinding his nerves, therefore, something must be wrong with her to make her bearable to him. He'd always been like that, he couldn't accept the perfect.
"Anyone who says they've no bad habits is a liar." He stated quietly, looking back at her pretty face with a smile. "Twenty two? Really? I can understand why, you don't look more than nineteen." He wasn't sure if it was a compliment or not, but he certainly didn't mean it as an insult. Her body had the fill of an adult, she was curvy and would look fantastic in a nurse's uniform he was sure, but her facial features were soft and her eyes were wide and innocent looking. He was usually pretty good at spotting fakes. But she wasn't one. She would be torn apart here. He wondered idly exactly why someone like her had become a nurse, but he was sure it was for some reason of righteousness. She probably wanted to help people. Ugh. He personally had no problems with Dr. Sanders, but that guy was the same way. Full of flighty theories of goodness and the desire to help people. He hoped she wasn't the same. At least not exactly the same.
Damon reached out and took her hand gently, pressing the back of it to his lips and lowering himself in an unmistakable bow of courtesy. More or less because he was raised to do it, and he'd never fought to change it because it was purely reflex now. "Well I wouldn't go that far, everyone here is just a little crazy." He smiled a little as he stood straight again, noting the look on her face. He had no trouble poking fun here, half the patients made fun of themselves and others for being insane.

Juliet loves a beat and the lust it commands Drop the dagger and lather the blood on your hands Romeo Roxy wasn't the type to put on a mask and hide the real her behind it.She never understood why people wouldn't let other people see the real them. Were they ashamed?Or even frighten if people could see right through them? Wouldn't the people that they would want to show off to were the people they wanted to be with,so why not let them see the real person?Their was only one time where she hid herself alway from the world. That time was years ago, when she had to hid for around a year what her dad was actually doing to her.Her own mom and sister didn't even notice anything until Roxy couldn't think of an excuses anymore. The only person she told was her sister and her sister had to watch the beatings without even saying a word to their mom about it.She always heard her sister crying everynight and she would tell Roxy that she wished she could take the pain away and make it her instead of Roxy. She would always remember that and her sister still says it. She nodded her head when Damon said not all the patients weren't bad.She knew that just most of them want to seek help but the only way they think they'll get it is if they act insane. "A lot of them just seem misunderstood.I never got the chance yet to really talk to any of them because since I'm new they've been making me run back and forth doing things for doctors." She said, with a small smile. It was true,a doctor even asked her to even go sharpen a flippin pencil for him but the oddest thing she was told to do was before she went into a doctors office to get some medication a patient asked for and the doctor said he had to do a strip search on her.But quickly another nurse came in and pulled Roxy out of the room and said that some doctors liked the nurses a little too much, especially young ones. "One bad habit I have,I usually do what people tell me to do.For example the other day a doctor said he does strip searches to all the new nurses and guess who almost fell for it?" Roxy said, and raised her hand that was not on the camera slightly. She usually would believe anything that anyone would tell her.But she knew the difference if it was right or wrong. Roxy bit her lip as her blue eyes met his again and her cheeks heated up and she knew he would probably see it.Hell, her cheeks felt like a small flame was touching them. She didn't know if she should take his comment as a compliment or not.People always told her that she looked younger for her age and her mom told her that if she ages slowly that she'll age gracefully. "Thanks?" She asked more of a question but laughed a bit to cover her embarssment. "Again,I get that a lot.Hell for Halloween on year and dressed up as a school school and wore poney tails and people oddly thought that was my actual uniform." She said, with a roll of her eyes at the memory but her eyes took him in again.Damon looked around her age, maybe even a couple years older. He didn't have any body of a teeage guy,he had a body of what a man should have. But she pushed those thoughts out of her head as she realized that her eyes trailed lower.Usually she would never do that with the guy standing directly infront of her.She shook her head and cleared her throat to break the silence. She was caught off guard for a moment when she felt his warm hand take her small one into his.Roxy almost pulled it back out of reflex but it remained calmed as he simply pressed his lips to the top of it and bowed. She blinked, she couldn't remember the last time a guy actually was a gentlemen. "That is true,if you work here. Then you must have a little crazy side to you." She teased with a smile but realized her hand was still in his.She laughed, nervously and slowly removed her hand from his.
